I carent walk!

I have officially lost my damned mind. I was up and out of the house by 5:30am on Saturday morning. That’s right, 5:30 AM. Why? Oh, nothing special… Just to do a 5km race. Which actually was more like 7 because we had to walk a million steps to the start and finish lines from the car.

All the way up and down the Voortrekker Monument hill. And around it. Using my legs. And butt and arms and thighs and ankles and calf muscles. Oh, my poor little unsuspecting calf muscles! But, on the bright side: I achieved my first medal.

Post racing high on Saturday, Jon lovingly ran me a muscle relaxing bubble bath. We went to a movie with Angel & Gluggie and although I was tender, nothing on this earth could have prepared me for the excruciating pain I woke up to on Sunday.

So, what’s up next? Just the 702 Discovery walk thing this weekend. It’s 8km. I thought I was nervous for the 5km, but now my butterflies have transformed into bats!

I blame Jon for this madness. Send love, I sure as hell need it.

      I’m not sure, Whosboo. I need to research it. I’ve been promised that it’s much slower and more social so my nerves don’t have to worry. However, that’s what he said Saturday would be and it TOTALLY WASN’T. Heh πŸ˜‰
