Bright eyes & boob jobs

Remember I told you I had a make over just before my birthday and that I went back to contacts?

Yeah, well.  I’ve managed to wear them 3 times.  Glasses are just so much more uncomfortable and don’t make me want to scratch out my eyeballs.  The thing is, contact look so much better, I know, and they force me to make an effort with eye make up too, which inevitably is a big improvement on the usual tom-boy lesbatron chic look I rock daily.  But, contacts make my eyes itch.  And they get stuck behind my eyelid sometimes.  And they build up protein and cause my eyeballs to feel like they’re drowning in snot (ew, I know, sorry).

So I investigated laser eye surgery with excitement in my heart and switch of anticipation in my eyeballs.  Only to be let down for two reasons:

  1. The optometrists I spoke to (x2) advised that I wait for my eyesight to settle down first, previously I’d dropped 4 lenses in vision (I’m minus 3 in my left eye, and 2 in my right)
  2. If I am planning on having babies, I should rather wait until after pregnancy or risk having to redo the op again

So there goes that.  For now.  Of course, there’s also the cost of laser eye surgery to consider too, and the fact that medical aids consider it “cosmetic surgery” in SA.  Bugger.  I have no issues paying for the op, but don’t want to have to do it now and then again in a few years time.  It would be like having a boob job (also on the cards, one day) and then having to breastfeed and ruin the new melons…

Sigh.  I think it all boils down to one thing: I need to get a new baby out of the way so I can go ahead and have my cosmetic surgeries.

It’s a joke.  Lol. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding.  I’d totally prefer this.

Contacts are awesome…been wearing them for the past 13 years! Got them because I played alot of sports and repairing glasses each time was expensive!

FYI, left eye: -6.50 and right eye: -3.75 :`(

I had laser eye surgery 15 years ago and it’s been awesome. Left eye was on something stupid like -005 last time I tested and right is on 0 😀

Guy also told me my eyes needed to settle first and then 2 years later he did the op.

Before that I wore contacts & it bothered me at first but I got used to it.

Anyway, good luck with the eyes & boobs 🙂
