My birthday rowed…

As opposed to my birthday rocking, it rather rowed, gently.  It was calm, and sweet, and quiet and relaxed.  Just like I wanted it to be.  I got ridiculously spoiled.  Seriously.

I’ve experienced at least 7 different types of cake over the last week and my healthy eating plan has gone for a ball of shit, so I’m back on it again this week to try and get back into the swing of things.  Having said that, we did a 4km walk on Saturday, for Slut Walk.  Jon wore a dress.  Shhhhhh.  But I was so stiff on Sunday and Monday, and could totally feel I haven’t been excersizing properly!

Saturday night saw a bunch of loved ones join us for dinner at Gourmet Garage at Monte.  Fast becoming one of our regular hang-out’s, we had the upstairs lounge section where I was showered in birthday presents.

On that note, let me tell you guys something: while beauty therapy courses can definitely teach you a few tricks, nothing beats having loads of Essie products bestowed onto you.  Anyone can look like a nail beautician when they have the right tools at their disposal.  I’m proud to say that I now own probably more of their colour ranges than most chemists do.  So exciting!

A quick thank you to everyone who made my birthday week special.  I walked on clouds for days and I don’t feel half as bad about turning a year older as I did a while back.  In fact, I’m embracing my up coming 28th year.  My goal: find harmony.

To welcome in my getting older, I decided I needed a bit of a makeover.  So I have a new hairstyle and contacts, by the way.

How have you been?

Wow contacts and a haircut make a huge difference! definitely keep this look going, you look GREAT. Who cut your hair???? some hair-stylists just know what will make you look the best, I would like to see what style they would recommend for myself, or did you choose the hairstyle?
