In exactly one week today…

I will be moving jobs.  I’ve kept it on the down-low as much as possible, but I think it’s time I came out.  I’m very excited, I’ll be moving to the head office of Tsogo Sun, a client I worked with for two years and I really align to their brand, beliefs and values.

I’ll still be in the same industry, but now I’ll be able to focus my energy on one brand, with multiple branches that will keep me busy and out of mischief.  I’ll be getting back to the roots of social media – partnerships and relationship management.

I’m very nervous and sad and nostalgic about leaving Aqua, but it’s been a phenomenal 3 years of challenges, learning and love.  Yes, love.  I’ve loved the clients and my colleagues and mostly, my team.  It really feels rather like jumping off a bridge without knowing if I have any cables or cords attached.  Aqua has been my home for so long and I’m going to miss it very much.  It’s very scary walking away from a company that you resonate with.  Especially since they’ve been so supportive and wonderful.

But all good things must come to an end and after 3 years, it’s time to move on.  My new position offers me a lifestyle I’ve been looking for, an opportunity to be challenged all over again and it affords me the ability to miss out on Joburg traffic, always a bonus 🙂

So, there you go.  That’s what’s been up.  Now you know my secret.

Bring on the 1st of March!

Very excited for you! Looks like this is a year of change for a few of us…
I have also started making a shift on the work front (I may even blog about it at some point!) and a couple of other people I know are doing the same.
I expect we’re all going to have a fantastic year.
I wish you a very successful and deeply fulfilling time in your new position! 🙂
